NEW ORLEANS – A historic day at the plate and helping Texas State to a weekend sweep resulted in Chase Mora being named the Sun Belt Conference's Player of the Week on Tuesday.
The freshman set a new program record with four home runs in the second game of the series against North Dakota State. He is the first player in the NCAA to hit four homers in a game this season and the first true freshman to do so since Florida's JJ Schwarz did so in 2015. His single-game long ball total broke the Sun Belt record and is tied for the third most in NCAA history.
