DALLAS – Texas State's was named one of 10 finalists for the 17 NCBWA Stopper of the Year Award, which is given to the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I Baseball.
This season saw Stivors lead the nation in saves with 18, of which 10 saw him go multiple innings, while posting a 7-1 record and 2.21 ERA. He has struck out 77 in 54 innings while holding opponents to a .197 batting average.
His performance on the mound saw him be named to the Collegiate Baseball All-American First Team, the first top team honoree in program history.
