States Up Podcast: Jarron Morris

SAN MARCOS, Texas – In the newest States Up podcast, Texas State football's Jarron Morris shares what his journey has been like coming back from a season-ending injury a year ago, where he got his nickname "Baby J," and what he really means when he says he is a football player.

Morris, who has been with the Bobcats since 2018, entered the 2021 season coming off an All-Sun Belt performance in 2020. As a junior, he started 11 of the 12 games played, led the team in tackles, was third in the Sun Belt with four interceptions, and had 15 total passes defended which was second-best in the conference.
