SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State cross country teams head to College Station, Texas to compete in the NCAA South Central Regional on Friday on the Dale Watts cross country course. At 9:15 a.m., the women will run a 6,000-meter race followed by the men's 10,000-meter race at 10:15 a.m.
Top two teams in each race will earn automatic berths to the NCAA Championship meet. Also moving on to the NCAA Championship are the top four individuals in each race not associated with a qualifying team.
Leading the eighth-ranked Bobcat women's team from the South Central region is Leslie Romero, the Sun Belt Conference individual champion, Runner of the Year and Newcomer of the Year.
