SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State (13-9, 6-5 Sun Belt) logged a season-high 47 points in the second half to secure a convincing 71-51 victory over ULM (6-14, 2-9 Sun Belt) Thursday night at Strahan Arena.
After poor shooting in the first half that saw the Warhawks take a 30-24 lead into the locker room, the Bobcats dominated the second half by outscoring it opponent 47-21 behind a 29-9 run by the 6:45 mark of the stanza. ULM's junior guard Michael Ertel who had 14 points in the first half, was shut down by junior guard Shelby Adams and was held to just four points that essentially cut off the ULM offense.
