SAN MARCOS, Texas – Sophomore pitcher Randi Rupp has been named the Community Coffee Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week this week after her performance against No. 24 Texas and at the USF-Under Armour Invitational. The Bobcats were a perfect 6-0 last week which marks the longest winning streak of the 2016 season.
Rupp finished the week with a 3-0 record with wins against the Texas, Purdue, and Penn. Against Detroit, she also earned her second save of the season. The win against Texas was the first victory over the Longhorns in almost six seasons for Texas State and it was at home in front of the second-largest crowd in school history (1,011).
