SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State soccer team, the defending Sun Belt Conference regular season champions, were selected as the conference preseason favorites by the league's head coaches. The Bobcats also had five preseason All-Sun Belt honorees and swept the individual specialty honors as announced by the conference office Thursday afternoon.
TXST totaled 108 points behind six first-place votes to stand atop the table for the first time in a preseason poll since 2010. South Alabama came in second with 103 points and a lone first-place selection followed by Little Rock (98 pts) and Coastal Carolina (88 pts), both of which received two first-place votes.
