SAN MARCOS, Texas – Sophomore Kaylee Davis recorded her second brace of the season as the Texas State soccer team defeated Appalachian State 4-0 at the Bobcat Soccer Complex on Sunday night. It was the Bobcats' third striaght victory, all being shutouts.
On the season, TXST is 6-4-1 overall and 4-1-0 in the Sun Belt Conference while the Mountaineers drop to 2-8-3 on the year and 1-3-1 in conference play. The Bobcats end the weekend second place in the Sun Belt standings, three points behind South Alabama.
TXST came out aggressive to open the match with three great opportunities to score in the first four minutes.
