NEW ORLEANS – An outstanding performance in the heptathlon at the Bobcat Invitational earned Texas State's Kylah Smith the Sun Belt Conference's Women's Track Athlete of the Week award. It is the first weekly conference award in her career.
Smith set a personal best with 4,717 points, which is the second most in the conference this year. The Lancaster, Texas native finished in the top three in five of the seven events and was first in three of them.
Five personal bests were set by her in the 100m hurdles (14.15), 200m (26.
