NEW ORLEANS – A stellar week at the plate saw Dalton Shuffield named the Sun Belt Conference's Player of the Week on Tuesday. It is the second weekly conference honor for the senior this season after picking up his first on Mar. 8.
Shuffield finished last week batting .588 (10-for-17) while posting a .632 on-base and 1.000 slugging percentage. He also recorded nine runs, four RBI, three doubles, two triples and a stolen base. The senior extended his hitting streak to six games while posting multiple base knocks in the first three games last week.
