NEW ORLEANS – Texas State's Dalton Shuffield was selected as the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday. It is the third time in the last four weeks the senior has taken home the award and fourth time this season, which is the most ever by a Bobcat.
This past weekend against Louisiana saw Shuffield pace TXST at the plate with a .538 average (7-for-13) and eight runs while helping the Bobcats claim at least a share of the regular season crown. He recorded multiple hits in all three games along with driving in four, hitting three doubles and two home runs.
