SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State women's basketball tips off the 52nd season of Bobcat basketball on Sunday when the team travels west to Lubbock to square off against Texas Tech at 2 p.m.

• Texas State's 2016-17 season ended in the first round of Women's Basketball Invitational with a 66-62 overtime loss to Eastern Washington. The Bobcats had four players score in double figures, led by Kaitlin Walla with 16 points. Taeler Deer added 13 points, Erin Peoples scored 11 points and Ti'Aira Pitts netted 10 points.
