SAN MARCOS, Texas – A record setting crowd of 3,425 saw Texas State (20-13) take on 19th-ranked Texas (24-10) Monday night at Bobcat Ballpark. However, it would be the Longhorns that came out on top by a score of 5-2.
"I thought it was a good game. Offensively we had chances early starch one or two runs across and find a way to get the momentum. They did a good job in innings three through six in slowing us down at the plate," said head coach Steven Trout. "We threw the ball well tonight.
