SAN MARCOS, Texas — Tori McCann, Jessica Mullins and Meagan King did exactly what the Texas State coaching staff asked as the pitching trio limited UTSA to only three baserunners in the Bobcats' 5-0 victory Friday night.
"I think (Hailey MacKay) said it best, the team is just loose and we are just playing (softball)," said Texas State softball head coach Ricci Woodard. "When things are clicking, things are clicking and I don't have to do a whole lot and that makes it nice."
Tori McCann, who started the game in the pitching circle for Texas State, pitched a brilliant contest as she retired the first nine batters she faced on just 31 pitches on the night.
