LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Senior Alyssa Phelan netted her second match-winning goal this season when she volleyed a shot past the keeper just over halfway through the second overtime period of a 3-2 win over Little Rock at the Coleman Sports & Recreation Complex. The victory extended the Bobcats' winning streak to six matches and snapped the Trojans 13-match home unbeaten streak.
Texas State is now 9-4-1 overall and 7-1-0 in the Sun Belt Conference. The team remains alone atop the conference standings with 21 points, three points better than South Alabama. LR dropped to 7-7-2 on the season and 2-3-2 in conference play.
