BOSTON – Junior Nijal Pearson was one of 50 players named to the Lou Henson Award Mid-Season Watch List on Wednesday.
The Beaumont, Texas native leads the Bobcats with 18.2 points per game. He ranks second in the conference with 45 made three-pointers and third at 45.0 three-point shooting percentage.
So far this season Pearson has scored 20 or more points in a game six times with a career-high 33 coming against Portland in the finale of the Portland Classic. He surpassed the 1,000-career point barrier in the season opener against Rice and has netted 1,252 in his TXST career, the 10th most in program history.
