SAN MARCOS, Texas– Former Texas State University men's basketball forward Alex Peacock has signed a professional contract with APOEL B.C., a team based out of Nicosia, Cyprus that competes in the Cypriot Division A.
APOEL is one of the most successful basketball clubs in Cyprus with 11 championship titles. Last season, APOEL posted a 13-8 record to make another playoff appearance but fell 3-2 in a five-game series vs. eventual champions Keravnos in the semifinals. APOEL has also won 11 Cypriot Basketball Super Cups which is a contest between the champion of the Cypriot Division A and the winner of the Cypriot Cup.
