SAN MARCOS, Texas - Pedro Osorio Lopez has been named the Sun Belt Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week on Thursday following his career-best performance at the Kansas State DeLoss Dodds Invitational on Jan. 30.
Osorio Lopez won the 800-meter race with a career-best time of 1:52.46. His time is the fastest in the Sun Belt Conference this season and one of the and ranks in the NCAA's top 20 times this year. His time is the third-fastest time in Texas State Indoor history.
It marks the second time this season that Osorio Lopez has posted a career-best time.
