MOBILE, Ala. – Kasper Nyland opened the spring season with a second-place finish shooting 10-under par at the Hal Williams Collegiate, his top finish of his collegiate-career. Texas State finished ninth among 15 teams at the Magnolia Grove Crossing Golf Course on Tuesday.
"A lot of positives in our first tournament of the spring," said men's golf head coach Shane Howell. "Kasper Nyland was spectacular in his play coming in second place in a very strong field. As a team we have a very long way to go to reach our potential, but this was a nice first step.
