After one of the best seasons in program history, Texas State sent five players to the next level.
Whether it was cornerback Craig Mager and David Mayo, who were selected in the third and fifth rounds of last year's NFL Draft, respectively, or undrafted free agents Terrence Franks, Will Johnson and Mike Orakpo, the Bobcats finished off a great year on the gridiron in style.
While 2016 didn't produce anything near that level of success (3-9 season), Texas State still had three players sign with NFL clubs. Offensive tackle Adrian Bellard (Chicago Bears), cornerback David Mims II (Atlanta Falcons) and tight end Lawrence White (Oakland Raiders) all inked undrafted free-agent contracts.
