SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State Athletics Department earned a historic milestone Tuesday when four Bobcat teams earned NCAA Public Recognition Awards for posting elite multi-year Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores through the 2018-19 academic year.
The four teams – men's golf, women's golf, women's soccer, and women's tennis – earned the recognition after they compiled multi-year APR scores that rank in the top 10 percent nationally in each of their respective sports from 2015-16 through 2018-19.
This year marks the first time in school history that four Bobcat teams have earned NCAA Public Recognition Awards in the same academic year.
