LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Texas State right-handed pitcher Jessica Mullins and second baseman Sara Vanderford have been selected to the NFCA Division I All-Central teams, the organization announced Thursday afternoon.
Mullins, the first Bobcat freshman pitcher to earn 20 wins on a season since Randi Rupp had 24 during the 2015 season, was appointed to the NFCA All-Central Second Team. Vanderford, the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year, was placed on the NFCA All-Central Third Team.
With their recognition from the NFCA, Mullins and Vanderford give Texas State its first NFCA All-Region selection since Christiana McDowell picked up NFCA All-Central Third Team honors following the 2019 season.
