CHOUDRANT, La. – The Texas State men's golf team continued its strong showing in the second round of the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate tournament at the Squire Creek Country Club.
Playing on a par 72, 7,070-yard course, the Bobcats shot a 3-under-par 285 as a team to finish the second round in second place on Monday. Texas State finished the second day with a team score of 567 through 36 holes. The Bobcats trail No. 44-ranked UAB by eight shots after the Blazers fired a blistering 13-under-par score on Monday and enters the final round with a two-round total of 559
The Bobcats enter Tuesday holding a five-shot lead over third-place ULM after the Warhawks fired a 4-under-par 284 and have a 36-hole total of 572.
