MARICOPA, Ariz. – Texas State men's golf moved into the top spot of the National Golf Invitational (NGI) in the second round on Saturday. Marcelo Garza entered the top-3 of the player leaderboard.
Texas State moved three spots on the leaderboard to claim first after two rounds at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club. The Bobcats shot eight-under 280, this is the third lowest 18-hole total this season for the team. Texas State recorded 24 birdies on the second day of the NGI.
After two rounds Texas State is 11-under par with a four-stroke lead over second place Wyoming.
