SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas men's golf team caught fire in the second round at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate tournament Monday afternoon when the Bobcats shot a 14-under-par 274 on the par 72, 7,212-yard Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course. The Bobcats enter Tuesday's final round at 23-under par with a 36-hole total of 553.
The Bobcats moved up three spots to take over the lead and enter Tuesday's final round with a six-shot advantage over two-time defending champion Florida State. The Seminoles ended the first day at 17 under par after firing a 7-under-par 281 in the second round.
