CHOUDRANT, La. – The Texas State men's golf team opened its 2020 schedule with a strong showing in the first round of the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate tournament at the Squire Creek Country Club.
The Bobcats opened the tournament shooting a 6-under par 282 as a team on Sunday to finish the first round in first place. Playing on a par 72, 7,070-yard course, the Bobcats lead Little Rock by one shot and No. 44-ranked UAB by two shots. The Trojans had a team score of 5-under-par and the Blazers finished the first day with a team score of 4-under par, while South Alabama had a team score of 2-under par.
