Men’s Golf Improves by Eight Strokes in California

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – In the second round of the St. Mary's Invitational, the Texas State men's golf team improved by eight strokes from the first round. The Bobcats carded a 14-over par 298 at the Poppy Hills Golf Course.

Pacing the Bobcats for the day was Logan Lockwood with a 1-over 72. He posted three birdies and an eagle on the par 5, 515-yard ninth hole. It was the third eagle of the year for him, tying him for the sixth most ever by a Texas State golfer in the season. The sophomore now has five eagles in his career to place him in a tie for seventh in program history with Juan Diego Plasencia (2012-14).
