SAN MARCOS, Texas – Friday and Saturday sees the Texas State men's golf team head to Laredo, Texas to compete in the Border Olympics. The tournament will take place at the Laredo Country Club, a 7,125-yard, par 72 course.
The Bobcats will be one of 18 teams competing in the 54-hole event. Featured teams include Houston (#37), New Mexico State (#56), McNeese State (#78), UTEP (#90), Sacramento State (#92) and UTSA (#94). Along with Texas State, other Sun Belt Conference schools include Little Rock, UL Lafayette and UL Monroe.
Last year the Bobcats finished 13th at the event with a 22-over par 886, beating out UTSA by a stroke.
