NORMAN, Okla. – The Texas State men's golf team earned the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Presidents Special Recognition award on Tuesday.
The honor is given to men's golf teams that have a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher. The Bobcats were one of 59 Division I programs and one of two from the Sun Belt Conference, with the other being James Madison, to earn the accolade.
For the 2023-24 school year, Texas State posted a 3.80 GPA. The team set a program with its highest GPA ever for a semester with a 3.
