Men's Basketball's Comeback Attempts Fall Short In 74-58 Loss at Georgia Southern

STATESBORO, Georgia - Despite senior guard Tre'Larenz Nottingham scoring a season-high 25 points, the Texas State men's basketball team couldn't mount a consistent offensive attack and suffered a 74-58 loss at Georgia Southern in Hanner Fieldhouse Saturday afternoon.

The Bobcats jumped out to an early 5-0 lead, but Texas State couldn't hit any shots consistently throughout much of the afternoon. The Bobcats finished the game shooting just 39.7 percent (23-58) from the field and 26.9 percent (7-26) from the three-point line and 35.7 percent (5-14) from the free throw line.

With Texas State leading 7-5, the Eagles used a 10-0 run to take the lead the rest of the way.
