MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Texas State men's and women's track and field both finished runner-up at the 2023 Sun Belt Outdoor Championships while the Bobcats claimed seven individual titles on the meet's final day on Saturday at the Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.
The second-place finishes for the Texas State men and women were their best place in the Sun Belt outdoor championships since 2019.
A weekend that included nine individual championships and 24 podium finishes, the Bobcats saved their biggest day for last as they combined for seven individual titles on Saturday. The women's 4x100 relay broke a school record – a mark set earlier this season – to win the conference championship while two other relay teams in the men's 4x100 and 4x400 also claimed titles.
