SAN MARCOS, Texas – New Texas State quarterback Jordan McCloud was chosen to the Walker Camp Player of the Year Preseason Watch List on Monday. He is the only player from the Sun Belt Conference on the list.
McCloud was the 2023 Sun Belt Player of the Year after throwing for 3,657 yards and 35 touchdowns while completing 281-of-412 passes and playing for James Madsion. He also added a team leading eight touchdowns for the Dukes on 96 carries and totaled 276 yards.
For his career, McCloud has thrown for nearly 7,000 yards on 573-of-903 passing with 58 touchdowns.
