McCann cans Sacramento State’s offense as Bobcats earn 10th win

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — For the second consecutive game, the Texas State University pitching staff kept its opponent off the scoreboard for the duration of the game as the Bobcats opened the Capital Classic with a 2-0 win at Sacramento State on Friday afternoon.

Texas State (10-5) have now thrown 14 consecutive scoreless innings after topping Tulsa, 2-0, on Sunday, Feb. 23. Friday's performance against the Hornets marks the first complete-game shutout by a Bobcat pitcher this season since Meagan King tossed a five-inning complete-game shutout in a 12-0 win over Saint Louis on Saturday, Feb.
