LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Senior guard Nijal Pearson led all players with 25 points, but Texas State (7-7, 0-3 Sun Belt) came up short at Little Rock (9-5, 3-0 Sun Belt) 72-68 Thursday night at the Jack Stephens Center.
After a solid first half of play from the Bobcats, the Trojans responded in the second half as they have done all season and outscored Texas State 44-29 in the final 20 minutes to steal a win on their home floor.
Pearson was 8-of-17 from the floor, 5-of-9 from 3-point range and a perfect 4-of-4 at the stripe.
