ATLANTA – The Texas State women's basketball team (7-7, 2-0 Sun Belt) slid past the Georgia State Panthers (7-6, 1-1 Sun Belt) by a score of 69-60 on Saturday afternoon at the GSU Sports Arena behind senior guard career-high 35 points.
The win bumps Texas State to 2-0 in conference play, winning the opening two games of league play for the first time since the 2014-15 season.
"We played our tails off, we coached our tails off," Head coach said. "Georgia State is a tough team and a tough matchup for us with their size.
