NEW ORLEANS – The Texas State women's basketball team was picked third in the 2018-19 Sun Belt Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll as announced by the league on Wednesday morning.
The Bobcats claimed 97 points to tie with in-state rival UTA for third place, the highest TXST has been selected in the preseason poll since a third-place prediction in the 2013-14 Sun Belt poll. Defending regular season and conference tournament champion Little Rock garnered 133 points and collected eight of 12 first-place votes. Troy received 131 votes and the remaining four first-place votes to snag the second spot in the poll.
