SAN ANTONIO – Texas State's bat were quiet for the first six innings of Tuesday's game at Roadrunner Field. Over the final three innings, the Bobcats scored nine runs but fell short of coming from behind in a 12-9 loss to UTSA.
TXST drops to 11-13 on the season while the Roadrunners are now 20-7.
Picking up the win on the rubber was Gunnar Brown (2-0) after he threw five scoreless innings with seven strikeouts and giving up just two hits and walks. (0-2) surrendered three runs on two free passes and one hit in his first start of the season to take the loss.
