SAN MARCOS, Texas – Freshman forward Sydney Kammer celebrated her birthday on Friday in style, netting the only goal of the match in Texas State's 1-0 victory over Georgia Southern at the Bobcat Soccer Complex.
The victory sees the Bobcats improve to 4-4-1 overall and 2-1-0 in Sun Belt Conference play while the Eagles are now 3-4-1 on the season and 1-1-0 in conference action.
Almost halfway through the 9 minute, GS was called for a foul towards the right side of the field around 25 yards from goal. Brooke Ramsey sent in the free kick but the ball was knocked out towards the left side of the box by an Eagle defender.
