ARLINGTON, TX — It appeared to be a wrap following Jo'Nah Johnson's layup to extend Texas State's lead over UTA to five with 27 seconds left in the game, but the Mavericks went on an 8-1 scoring run to steal the win, 69-67.
Following Johnson's layup, Katie Ferrell missed a 3-point attempt with 19 seconds left and Lauryn Thompson collected the rebound — her 10th on the night — but a turnover underneath the basket led to a Ferrell 3-pointer to cut the Bobcat lead down to two with 11 seconds left.
