SAN MARCOS, Texas – Following a breakout season in 2022, Texas State wide receiver Ashtyn Hawkins was named to the 11th annual Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List on Thursday.
Hawkins is officially in the running for the award, which recognizes the top offensive player in Division I football who also exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community and tenacity. In addition, Hawkins fits the award's criteria of either being born in Texas and/or graduated from a Texas high school and/or played at a Texas-based junior college or currently playing at a Texas Division I four-year college.
