Harrell Recognized as Sun Belt Player of the Week

NEW ORLEANS – After helping lead the Texas State men's basketball team to two victories over the first week of the season, Mason Harrell was named the Sun Belt Conference's Player of the Week on Monday. It is the first weekly honor in the fifth-year senior's career.

Harrell averaged 18.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 44.2% from the field and making 15-of-21 (71.4%) free throw attempts over three games. He netted double-figures and grabbed at least four rebounds in each contest.

The Midwest City, Oklahoma native started the season with a 17-point performance in which he made 5-of-9 shots from the field at Washington State.
