STATESBORO, Ga. – Playing its first road match outside of the Lone Star State, the Texas State soccer team (7-1-2, 1-0-1 Sun Belt) picked up a hard-earned point after playing to a 1-1 draw against Georgia Southern (1-2-5, 0-0-2 Sun Belt) Thursday night at Eagle Field.
For the first 15 minutes, the contest was dominated by the Eagles that were playing their first home match in 31 days as they maintained a possession in their offensive half. They took four shots and placed three on goal during that time. The most dangerous attempt came late in the 15th minute when a cross deflected to Kyleigh Drew.
