SAN MARCOS, Texas -- Jeremy Hollowell had 12 of his 18 points before halftime, and Georgia State held Texas State to 16 first-half points on its way to a 58-46 win on Saturday night.
Isaiah Williams added nine of his 13 points in the second half for Georgia State (8-3, 1-1 Sun Belt Conference). The Panthers led by 10 at the break and took control for good early in the second half with an 8-0 run to lead 41-27.
Kavin Gilder-Tilbury had 15 points to lead Texas State (7-4, 1-1), which made 5 of 22 shots in the first half and missed all seven 3-point attempts.
