SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State baseball alum Zachary Leigh was selected to play in the Arizona Fall League as the rosters were announced by Major League Baseball last week.
Leigh, who played for the Bobcats from 2017-21, compiled a 12-13 record with six saves, 4.60 ERA and 204 strikeouts over 221.1 innings over 70 games in his time in San Marcos. He is one of 10 TXST hurlers to every surpass 200 career strikeouts with his total ranking eighth in program history.
All six of his saves came in 2019 as he helped Texas State claim its first-ever Sun Belt Conference regular season title.
