The Texas State football team looks to improve its overall record to 2-4 and its Sun Belt Conference record to 1-2 when the Bobcats host Georgia Southern in a nationally-televised game on ESPNU this Thursday night at 6:32 p.m. at Bobcat Stadium.
• Georgia Southern enters Thursday night's contest seeking its third straight win and improving its overall record to 5-1 this season after beating South Alabama 43-13 on Oct. 6. The Eagles also edged Arkansas State 28-21 on Sept. 29 after falling 38-7 at No. 2- ranked Clemson on Sept. 15. Georgia Southern opened the season with victories over South Carolina State and UMASS.
