NEW ORLEANS – Five Texas State track and field athletes earned All-Academic honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2016-17 season. Receiving the award were T'Mond Johnson, Julie Lange, Dexter Lee, Michael Madu and Cody Schulz.
It is the third consecutive year that Lange has been recognized and second straight for both Lee and Schulz.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track & Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and must have finished the indoor track and field season ranked in the top 96 in an individual event, the top 48 in a relay event or have participated in any round, championship or preliminary, of the NCAA Division I Championships in the outdoor season.
