SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State men's golf teams travels westward to California to compete in the St. Mary's Invitational over the next three days. The tournament will take place at the Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach.
Poppy Hills is the first course to be owned and operated by a golf association in the United States when the Northern California Golf Association built it to serve as its headquarters and tournament home. The course is a par 71 and is 7,002 yards.
There will be 18 teams competing totaling 100 golfers. Joining the Bobcats on the links will be Arizona, BYU, Colorado State, Fresno State, Nevada, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Stanford, St.
