SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Junior David Faraudo Godinez paces the Texas State men's golf team after the first two rounds of the UTSA Oak Hill Invitational with a 1-over, 143 to sit in a tie for seventh. The Bobcats are 10th in the 15 team field after posting a 34-over par 602 at Oak Hill Country Club.
Opening on the 12th hole, Faraudo began with two straight bogies. He was 4-over after playing 10 holes before carding three consecutive birdies. The Mexican national followed with another bogey on the seventh. With two holes to play, Faraudo recorded Texas State's lone eagle of the day on the 10th and birdied the 11th to sit in second place after the first round.
