SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The first 54 holes of the UTSA Oak Hills Invitational were not enough to decide the individual champion. In the sudden death playoff, Texas State's David Faraudo Godinez fell to Louisiana Tech's Victor Lange on the first hole (No. 18) after recording a final round of 69 on the par 71 course. The Bobcats ended up 10th in the 15 team competition with an 899.
Faraudo, like the rest of the Texas State squad, started on the 10th hole with a birdie. After shooting 4-over the next three holes, he carded three consecutive birdies to get back to even par for the round.
