EL PASO, Texas – Both David Faraudo Godinez and Logan Lockwood of the Texas State men's golf team shot under par in the first round of the Price's "Give 'Em Five" UTEP Invitational on Friday at the Butterfield Trail Golf Club. Lockwood shot a 3-under 69 and Faraudo recorded a 2-under 70.
Opening on the back nine, Lockwood recorded three birdies with two bogies. The freshman then followed with two birdies and seven pars on the front nine. He concluded the opening 18 holes tied for fifth overall with four other players and is three shots off the lead.
